Liquidation Maps
Heatmap of open interest density by price level. Know where cascade risk concentrates — before the price touches those levels.
Open interest density by price level.
Simulated data for illustration. Real map available via Aark Terminal.
The cascade mechanism: why stacked open interest compounds price moves.
When many positions share a similar liquidation threshold, that price level becomes a density cluster. Approaching it means a concentration of forced sellers waiting to be triggered.
When price enters a density cluster, liquidations sell into the market. That selling pushes price lower, triggering the next cluster. Each triggered cluster accelerates the move — the cascade.
Aark's map shows you the density distribution before you enter a position. You can see whether your stop-loss level sits in a cascade zone — and size or adjust your entry accordingly.
See the cascade zones before the price reaches them.
